I can't remember how to do it... Trying to get Industrial steam engines attached to High Pressure Boilers. I think I remember having to knock a block of the HP Boiler off to place them, but surely there's a better way.
I am playing in FTB Infinity Expert mode and generating power with a max size tree farm, currently a couple of Railcraft HP Steam Boilers and BR Turbines. I have read in a different thread that LP Boilers from Railcraft are more efficient than HP, but the best efficiency has the MFR Steam Boiler.

Boiler horsepower - a power unit from the 19 th-20 th centuries - was used to rate the capacity of a boiler to deliver steam to steam engines.. A common definition of one boiler horsepower is the amount of energy required to produce 34.5 pounds (15.65 kg) of steam per hour at pressure and temperature 0 psig (0 bar) and 212 o F (100 o C) - with feed water at pressure 0 psig and temperature 212 o F.
Hello, so recently I wanted to set up a HP steam boiler 3x3x3 (I guess 4 if you count the fireboxes) It is a solid fueled steam boiler running on charcoal. I am getting a steady supply of charcoal from my Steve's Cart's Farm. Going into this the first time I had no idea how much I would need.
Drawing this extra steam will not affect the function of the boiler. Steam produced beyond the boiler's storage capacity will be harmlessly wasted. Each cubic metre of low pressure boiler can hold 16,000mB of steam, and each cubic metre of high pressure boiler can hold 32,000mB of steam. Changing the size or type of the boiler will lose all heat.
Steam Boilers come in different types and sizes: Liquid Fueled Firebox or Solid Fueled Firebox: determines the type of fuel the Steam Boiler accepts; Low Pressure (LP) or High Pressure (HP) Boiler blocks: LP offers better fuel efficiency while HP offers more steam per volume. Boiler block size WxDxH: 1x1x1, 2x2x2, 2x2x3, 3x3x2, 3x3x3, 3x3x4.
