The Steam Boiler is a multiblock structure from the Railcraft mod. This structure is used to turn water and fuels into Steam, for powering engines and other machines that require it. Steam Boilers are composed of two parts: the boiler and the firebox. The boiler is composed of Boiler blocks and determines the amount of steam it can produce and ...
The diverse steam boiler selection at Grainger includes high-efficiency wall-mounted condensing boilers, cast iron compact gas-fired boilers and direct-spark boilers with Energy Star ratings. Also find low profile gas-fired boilers with built-in draft diverters and pressure switches to detect blocked vents.

The steam boiler is an old convection heating technology dating back over 200 years and is commonly found in older homes. Because steam boilers operate at a higher temperature than hot water boilers they are inherently less efficient than their hot water cousins. They are also a lot more finicky to operate.
Boilers can be classified into the following configurations: Pot boiler or Haycock boiler/Haystack boiler: A primitive "kettle" where a fire heats a partially filled water container from below. 18th century Haycock boilers generally produced and stored large volumes of very low-pressure steam, often hardly above that of the atmosphere.
Steam boilers must heat the water to a higher temperature, and therefore have lower efficiencies than hot water boilers. Natural-gas-fired boilers are more efficient than oil-fired boilers. Combination boilers combine water heating and heat generation in one unit and can save considerable money on heating and water heating costs.
